About the Role
Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking CNC Machinists for B-Shift to join their team. This role involves operating and setting up CNC machines to ensure product quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Set up machine and observe operations to verify accuracy and detect malfunctions using precision measuring instruments.
- Set up and control computerized deburring and tooling machines for operations like drilling, chamfering, and deburring.
- Inspect first parts and monitor work pieces throughout production runs for out-of-tolerance machining.
- Clean machine and work area.
- Provide guidance to less experienced machine operators.
Requirements
- Function as a member of a customer-driven quality team with limited supervision and a strong work ethic.
- Be accountable for meeting project outcome commitments.
- Maintain adequate performance and motivation during routine or repetitive tasks.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directives.
- Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be flexible.
- Possess thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific CNC mills and lathes.
- Calculate and set machine controls manually or by entering commands.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep records of time spent and materials used.
- Use precision measuring tools, read drawings and blueprints.
- Be familiar with common machine and measuring tools, including micrometers and calipers.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- 5 years of previous CNC setup and operation experience.
- Experience on Mazak or Haas CNC Machines is preferred.
- Align with the requirements and principles of the Advantech Quality Management System and ISO 9001:2015.
- Handle changes in business operations and adjust to new situations.
- Be prepared to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and operate equipment.
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder (ITAR Restricted).
