About the Role
Advantech Industries Inc. is seeking a Metal Finisher to join their team. This role involves ensuring product quality requirements are met through various finishing processes.
Responsibilities
- Review blueprints and work orders to understand product specifications.
- Set up and operate machinery to grind, smooth, and buff metal parts.
- Use hand and power tools to smooth burrs and sharp edges.
- Visually inspect, move, count, tag, and pack parts.
- Use micrometers and gauges to inspect parts.
- Record job data on work orders throughout processes.
Requirements
- Function as a member of a customer-driven quality team with limited supervision.
- Hold oneself accountable for meeting project outcome commitments.
- Maintain adequate performance and motivation for routine and repetitive tasks.
- Understand and carry out oral and written directives.
- Work well under pressure, adhere to deadlines, and be flexible.
- Possess thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment.
- Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep a record of time spent and material used.
- Use precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Read drawings and blueprints.
- Be familiar with common machine tools.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder due to ITAR restrictions.
