About the Role
Jefferies is seeking a senior associate for its Aerospace and Defense (A&D) Equity Research team. The associate will analyze industry macro trends and company financials, build and maintain financial models and industry databases, and write research reports. The role involves gathering, synthesizing, and interpreting data, communicating recommendations, developing marketing materials, meeting with management teams, and attending industry conferences.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain financial models and industry databases.
- Ensure correct and up-to-date information for research reports.
- Write research reports, including earnings reports, company reports, monthly/weekly publications, and initiation reports.
- Review business and trade publications, annual reports, financial filings, and other sources to gather, synthesize, and interpret data.
- Communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients.
- Develop marketing materials for clients.
- Meet with management teams of companies.
- Attend industry conferences.
Requirements
- Strong academic background, with a focus on accounting, finance, or economics preferred.
- 3+ years of related financial services experience, preferably in sell-side/buy-side equity research or investment banking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit, and proven leadership qualities.
- Bachelors Degree with high GPA.
