About the Role
We are seeking a licensed behavioral health clinician experienced in psychiatric and psychosocial evaluations for individuals with mental health needs. This role involves assessing, documenting, and supporting housing application determinations through clinical evaluations and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment and documentation skills, and experience working with individuals facing mental health conditions, housing insecurity, and complex psychosocial challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for housing applicants, focusing on mental status, psychiatric diagnoses, treatment and histories, medication, and clinical recommendations.
- Provide high-quality behavioral health assessments through a telehealth platform.
- Collaborate in a virtual setting, delivering evidence-based interventions to assess the unique needs of clients seeking housing support.
- Adapt to virtual platforms, ensuring effective communication and delivering exceptional telehealth behavioral health services.
- Emphasize continuous professional development within the telehealth landscape.
- Ensure secure and encrypted channels for all client interactions, maintaining client privacy and confidentiality.
- Evaluate client risk levels and collaboratively develop and implement safety planning/monitoring when necessary.
- Engage in virtual case conferences for ongoing coordination of clients' care and housing application process.
- Generate timely, accurate clinical recommendations congruent with clients' diagnoses and the scope of the housing application.
- Generate timely, accurate encounter notes with diagnoses and appropriate CPT Codes.
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client treatment.
- Participate in one-hour weekly supervision sessions.
- Be accessible for ongoing training and certifications as per requirements.
- Perform other duties in support of the agency's quality assurance process.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work required.
- New York State LMSW or LCSW licensure required.
- Experience conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and preparing clinical documentation to support housing applications and related services.
- Proven experience in telehealth psychotherapy and various treatment methods including evidence-based practices.
- Previous experience with the housing application process, including the 2010e application for supportive housing is a plus.
