About the Role
Seeking a reliable team leader to provide oversight in our Residential IRA in Patchogue. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of residences, provide staff supervision and coordination of services to ensure the health and well-being of participants.
- Train, supervise, and evaluate Assistant Residence Manager and all direct support professionals employed in the residence.
- Ensure staff are trained with the skills necessary to provide the appropriate care and treatment to each individual.
- Provide oversight for each individual's personal allowance, bank accounts and financial records.
- Ensure families and advocates are informed of the individual's condition and progress.
- Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and standards are being met.
- Ensure implementation of goals, plans or methods as provided.
- Ensure overall quality of appearance of residence.
- Responsible for attending program meetings.
- Coordinate staff meetings.
- Coordinate annual/interim meetings.
- Ensures that the program is in compliance with all regulations.
- Ensure health and well-being of individuals at all times, and assist individuals to live life as independently making life without limits a reality.
- Direct Care duties in absence of staff.
- Available on call via phone.
Requirements
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid New York State Drivers License in good standing + 1 year licensed driving experience.
Skills
- AMAP, CPR & First Aid, SCIP certifications preferred.
- One to three years related experience and/or training.
- Supervisory experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
