About the Role

The Team Member – Mixer/Scaler will be responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients to produce a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all production needs and standards set forth by FGF. This role operates in a team environment, supporting the Team Leader through teamwork and respect for fellow team members.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares ingredients in mixing area per established batch list and schedule, including weighing, measuring, and verification of proper ingredients.
  • Ensures that lot code identification numbers are documented.
  • Follows batches with precise measurements to create a specialized batter.
  • Takes measurements as directed by Shift/Operations Leader.
  • Operates mixing machinery/equipment as trained and follows FGF safety guidelines.
  • Uses a variety of tools (scales, thermometers, knives, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to the appropriate parties.
  • Ensures Operations Management System (OMS) procedures are followed, including entering inventory into the operating system.
  • Participates in clean up responsibilities, maintaining a clean working environment by cleaning floors and disposing of waste.
  • Follows all GMP’s, Food Safety and Health and Safety Procedures as outlined by FGF.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable).
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to detect quality issues.
  • Good communication skills and simple mathematical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the role, including lifting 25 kg.
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction.
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends if needed.

Salary/Compensations

  • $26.15/hour plus $1 premium for night hours and $2 premium for weekend hours.
