About the Role
The Smith is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to uphold the highest standards of food safety, food handling, and sanitation. This role involves developing and promoting learning for back-of-house employees, managing labor and waste, and ensuring consistent execution of company policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and promote learning for all back of house employees with a hands-on approach.
- Uphold the highest standards of food safety, food handling, and sanitation requirements.
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine with weekly specials.
- Ensure consistent execution of company policies.
- Manage back of house labor and kitchen waste.
- Teach The Smith's Core Values to all new hires and existing team.
- Attend necessary senior management meetings in the absence of the Chef De Cuisine.
Requirements
- Exemplify the highest standards of honesty and integrity.
- Highly confident in abilities and detail-oriented.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Genuinely gets joy out of making people happy and is able to have fun while working.
- Love and passion for the hospitality industry.
- 2-3 years working as a Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in high-volume restaurants.

Salary/Compensations
- $90,000-$110,000 per year
