Responsibilities

  • Make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by understanding their personal and small business needs.
  • Recommend simple, personalized solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Manage a portfolio of mortgage clients, focusing on deepening client relationships.
  • Meet with clients to understand their priorities, advise on solutions, and provide financial plans.
  • Ensure clients' investment, financial, and credit needs are met by offering comprehensive retail banking solutions or referring to appropriate colleagues.
  • Engage in marketing and outreach activities to show clients value and grow your network.
  • Deepen existing relationships and collaborate to connect clients with the right people and opportunities.
  • Network with clients' families and friends to uncover opportunities and refer to partners.
  • Call existing and potential clients to identify growth and revenue opportunities.
  • Participate in community and banking centre events to enhance CIBC presence and gain market share.
  • Become a technology expert and introduce clients to mobile banking applications.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate 2-3 years of experience in providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
  • Be a certified professional with current accreditation and good standing in Mutual Funds License (Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada).
  • Meet eligibility requirements for CIRO-MFD licensing.

  • Be legally eligible to work at the specified location(s).
  • May be asked to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests.
  • Be aware that AI tools are used during the recruitment process.
