About the Role
Plan and organize activities for residents, supporting their social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. Deliver physical, psychological, and social care to elderly residents, fostering a positive living environment.
Responsibilities
- Build friendships with residents to aid their adjustment to care home life.
- Provide a high level of personal and psychological care professionally.
- Maintain effective communication with management, colleagues, and relatives.
- Support team collaboration within the home.
- Complete required records to a satisfactory standard, agreeing on record-keeping with the manager monthly.
- Safeguard individual rights of residents and staff according to the Home's care philosophy.
- Maintain client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times.
- Plan daytime and evening activities.
- Maintain awareness of Health and Safety requirements.
- Coordinate the activities program with other facility services.
- Assess resident needs and develop activity goals for care plans.
- Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes.
- Provide backup for all staff through individual and team efforts.
- Maintain high levels of communication within staff teams, with colleagues, and residents.
- Carry out any additional duties as requested.
- Undertake additional training and development programs for professional enhancement.
