About the Role
The Coordinator provides operational support for the Office of AS&E, assisting with the implementation of student success initiatives, including academic coaching.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the day-to-day administration and operations of academic coaching serving approximately 80-125 academic coaches each semester.
- Support with hiring, training, and onboarding new and returning academic coaches by coordinating communications, timelines, employment documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with the academic coach payroll process, including reviewing payroll punches against session documentation forms, identifying discrepancies, and appropriate follow-up communication.
- Assist with maintaining accurate academic coach and program records, databases, tracking systems, and operational documentation.
- Develop and facilitate student success workshops and educational programs.
- Serve as a communication liaison with faculty regarding Academic Coaching referrals.
- Promote academic coach growth through communication, resources, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with faculty and other campus partners to develop and coordinate initiatives that promote student success, engagement, persistence, and academic confidence.
- Oversee and contribute to social media content marketing AS&E services, workshops, resources, and initiatives.
- Contribute to assessment efforts including preparing reports on Academic Coaching participation and utilization.
- Promote inclusive, student-centered programming that responds to student needs.
- Support the Director of AS&E with program initiatives, projects, and operational needs as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum three years experience in higher education, or related field.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting students' academic growth, success, and overall development.
- Possess an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
- Maintain confidentiality in a discreet and professional manner.
- Strong writing and oral presentation skills are necessary.
- Effective and friendly communication skills with a variety of students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with Google workspace.
- Demonstrates cultural awareness and the ability to support students from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- Self starter, skilled at and open to exploring ways to improve current systems.
- Execution focused.
- Detail and accuracy oriented.
- A work schedule that will primarily include daytime hours, with occasional evening commitments and nontraditional hours during onboarding.
