About the Role
Ameriprise is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead the Digital Collaboration experience within the Ameriprise Client Secure Site. This role is crucial for driving adoption of digital collaboration capabilities and setting the strategic direction for the product, partnering with senior leaders across various departments to align priorities and deliver enhanced experiences for advisors and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead Agile Scrum teams in delivering digital collaboration outcomes that support the Client Secure Site strategy.
- Represent customer and business priorities, define roadmap and backlog priorities, and ensure delivery aligns with measurable outcomes.
- Serve as the voice of the customer, translating business and user needs into prioritized roadmaps, user stories, and backlog items.
- Drive advisor and client adoption by improving meeting preparation, online meeting capabilities, and collaboration between interactions.
- Partner across departments to identify opportunities, remove friction, and advance a cohesive digital collaboration experience.
- Develop and execute a compelling product vision and roadmap focused on measurable business and customer outcomes.
- Define key performance indicators, monitor progress against goals, and share results with stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary product partner for business stakeholders, aligning priorities and shaping a roadmap.
- Identify opportunities to deepen the client-advisor relationship through ongoing assessment of customer needs and business goals.
- Adjust product strategy in partnership with leadership as priorities evolve.
- Manage the annual product budget in partnership with the Product Owner Director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of product management or product owner experience.
- At least 3 years in an agile, software‑based environment.
- Proven ability to lead product discovery and strategy.
- Strong experience translating business strategy and customer insights into clear product direction and roadmaps.
- Demonstrated success influencing cross‑functional partners without direct authority.
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills across multiple initiatives.
