About the Role
SUNY Ulster is seeking a Head Baseball Coach to manage and administer the baseball program. This role involves developing positive communication with students, faculty, alumni, and the community, and fostering a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Coaching, recruiting, team travel, and fundraising for the baseball program.
- Ensuring compliance with University, NJCAA Division II, Conference, and Departmental rules.
- Operating within the program's budgetary limitations.
- Supporting the student-athlete concept and prioritizing athlete health, safety, and welfare.
- Taking a leadership role in fundraising and public relations for the baseball program and Athletics Department.
- Committing to excellence at SUNY Ulster.
- Potentially being assigned additional duties to support the department's mission.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills.
- Current knowledge of NCAA or NJCAA regulations.
- Ability to successfully recruit college-level student athletes.
- Previous coaching experience.
- Evidence of commitment to academic excellence and athlete graduation.
- Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public.
- Capability and willingness to actively plan and participate in fundraising and promotions.
- Ability to comply with University, NJCAA Division II, Conference and Departmental rules, standards, and regulations.
- Ability to work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel.
- Ability to support the student-athlete concept.
- Ability to demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.
- Ability to take an active leadership role in fundraising and public relations activities.
- Commitment to excellence at SUNY Ulster.

Salary/Compensations
- $8,500 for the entire term July 1st through June 30th annually.
