About the Role
HealthPro Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity available for an Occupational Therapist in Auburn, NY! Join HealthPro-Pediatrics by providing in-person occupational therapy services across multiple school settings, including elementary, middle, and high school populations. This is a temporary full-time opportunity with benefits and potential for long-term employment, running from September 1, 2026, through December 1, 2026. Full-time hours (35 hours per week) are available, and part-time candidates will also be considered. Earn a competitive pay rate of $50-$60 per hour, with full-time employees eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Paid Time Off, and more. Responsibilities
- Evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities using observations and standardized tools.
- Create personalized treatment plans to meet clients' goals and enhance their functional abilities.
- Educate clients and their families on improving daily activities, including the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Advocate for clients' needs and support them in accessing community resources, services, and accommodations.
Requirements
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, or license eligible.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficient in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
