About the Role
Warby Parker is seeking a Brand Communications Associate Manager to execute media relations strategies and amplify brand stories across various audiences and platforms. This role involves activating and building media relationships to drive coverage for product offerings, store openings, and brand moments.
Responsibilities
- Support functional leaders in crafting stories by creating briefs, drafting messaging, writing pitches, and producing assets for external initiatives.
- Pitch and place stories by leveraging established relationships with media and creators in fashion, lifestyle, culture, retail, and business.
- Build and maintain relationships across traditional and evolving media channels to expand brand presence.
- Assess opportunities for the brand to appear in relevant cultural moments, identifying creative formats to evolve the brand story.
- Support the planning and execution of brand moments (events, partnerships, collaborations) for storytelling impact.
- Coordinate local events, partnerships, and media opportunities with retail partners.
- Field daily inquiries from PR agencies and external media, capitalizing on timely press opportunities.
- Compile quarterly PR reports with the Communications team, analyzing results and informing future strategy.
- Maintain and improve Communications processes and asset management systems for team efficiency.
- Maintain the communications content calendar and propose story ideas in partnership with the Corporate Communications team.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in communications, media, branding, or marketing.
- A motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-small approach.
- Able to work collaboratively and develop consensus across groups and teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
