About the Role
You will play a leading role in shaping the future of Euston, one of the UK's most significant regeneration opportunities. The primary focus of the role will be driving the development of a planned Locally Led Urban Development Corporation (LLUDC). Working in a highly political and complex environment, you will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders behind a shared vision for Euston's future. You will navigate competing interests, build consensus and maintain momentum across multiple organisations, ensuring that local priorities are balanced with London's wider ambitions for economic growth, housing delivery and regeneration. Key elements of the role include developing and finalising the business case for the LLUDC, negotiating with government partners, and engaging local communities and elected members. You will help shape the future powers, governance and funding arrangements of the Corporation, lead the planned statutory consultation and internal decision-making processes, and coordinate the work required to establish the organisation, such as recruitment, resourcing and internal governance. There is potential for the role to evolve with the formation of the proposed Development Corporation focused on wider policy and governance for the Euston area.

- Comfortable operating in complex and often ambiguous environments, balancing long-term strategic objectives with practical delivery challenges.
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders with differing priorities and perspectives.
- Skilled at building consensus, negotiating solutions, and maintaining momentum in politically sensitive settings.
- Excellent communicator, able to build credibility with residents, elected members, senior leaders, government officials, and external partners.
- Equally comfortable considering complex policy and governance questions as tackling operational challenges.
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused, and quick to respond to changing circumstances.
- Ability to anticipate issues, think ahead, and identify opportunities before they arise.

About the Company
- At Camden, we’re not just imagining a better future – we’re building it. We’re making sure no one is left behind as we shape a borough where everyone can thrive. Camden has big ambitions for the future of Euston, and now is a critical time to work to make our vision a reality. HS2 and the redevelopment of Euston station are progressing at pace, and Camden is working to set up a new Locally Led Urban Development Corporation (LLUDC) for Euston, which would be the first of its kind in the country. There’s never been a more exciting time to get involved.
Equal Opportunity
- We want Camden Council to be a great place to work and to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. A vital part of this is ensuring we are a truly inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and those of Other Ethnicities, LGBT+, disabled and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents so that equalities and justice remains at the heart of everything we do.
- Anonymised Application – in keeping with Camden’s commitment to inclusion the recruitment to this role is anonymised and supports the objective of reducing the impact of unconscious bias.
- Asking for Adjustments: Camden is committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as accessible as possible for everyone. This includes making adjustments or changes for disabled people, neurodiverse people or people with long-term health conditions. If you would like us to do anything differently during the application, interview or assessment process, including providing information in an alternative format, please contact us on 020 7974 6655, at resourcing@camden.gov.uk or post to 5 Pancras Square, London, N1C 4AG.
