About the Role
Warehouse Assistant/CDL Truck Drivers are responsible for receiving orders, processing, and delivering equipment and materials to job sites. This role involves various warehouse and driving functions to support office locations.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and organizing the warehouse and yard.
- Inventorying materials and tools.
- Staging deliveries, verifying contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Performing general office, building, and grounds maintenance.
- Receiving and unloading deliveries using hand or power fork trucks.
- Complying with all company safety and personnel policies.
- Loading, securing, and unloading materials.
- Obeying highway traffic regulations and executing timely deliveries.
- Performing pre-trip vehicle inspections.
- Keeping trucks and equipment clean and in good working order.
- Reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Requirements
- Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Class B CDL driver’s license, Class A preferred.
- Must register for the FMCSA D&A Clearinghouse.
- Must understand written and verbal instructions, processes, weights/calculations, and communicate verbally and in writing.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to travel to all job sites under manager's direction, including some overnights.
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
