About the Role

Join Catholic Charities Disabilities Services as a Maintenance Technician and play a pivotal role in making a significant impact on individuals' lives. Contribute to a brighter community within an organization committed to making a positive difference.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all plumbing, electrical repairs, basic woodworking, installations, and repairs for small appliances.
  • Undertake various remodeling projects, including sheet rocking, framing, floor tile installations, and painting.
  • Execute all landscaping functions such as mowing, tree pruning, and planting, and ensure timely removal of snow and ice.
  • Rotate on-call responsibilities for evening and weekend coverage as scheduled.

Requirements

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Competency in basic areas of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • One to three years of experience as a technician is preferred
  • Knowledge of building maintenance or construction, including painting or patching is preferred
