About the Role

This seven-week summer program offers ambitious individuals the chance to gain real-world financial experience, develop essential skills, and build a professional network. Interns will support teams with research, analysis, and preparatory work, including market monitoring, company research, trade idea development, portfolio reviews, and learning about client solutions and products. The role is within the dynamic Commercial & Investment Bank Research team, contributing to solving challenging business issues in global financial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Modeling financial statements and industry dynamics
  • Performing detailed valuation work
  • Assessing relevant news events
  • Analyzing complex data sets
  • Writing research notes, sector pieces, industry and market overviews
  • Advising internal clients and management teams

Requirements

  • Proven analytical skills (e.g., algebra, statistics, probability)
  • Experience with quantitative and data analysis
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets and economic data and trends
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate within a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Fluency in English and Japanese
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Expected graduation date of September 2027 through July 2028, studying outside of Japan in Bachelor program or higher
  • If pursuing a Master’s Degree, it must be attained within 2 academic years of receipt of a Bachelor’s Degree
