About the Role

Join Catholic Charities Disabilities Services as a Behavior Intervention Specialist and contribute to our mission of making a positive impact in the community. This role offers endless opportunities to make a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral services including assessment, evaluation, consultation, intervention, and development of behavioral management plans, service plans, goals, and treatment services.
  • Provide education and training in areas pertinent to behavioral, psychological, and associated services.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluations and recommendations from care managers, advocates, and individuals served.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavior analysis or a closely related field (clinical or community psychology, clinical or treatment field of Psychology, Social Work, School Psychology, Applied Psychology as it relates to human development and clinical intervention, or a related Human services field).
  • National board certification in behavioral analysis (BCBA) or NYS License in Mental Health Counseling.
  • OPWDD-approved specialized training or experience in functional assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, including behavior support plan development, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Experience providing supervision and training to others in implementing behavior support plans.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
