About the Role
As a Senior ML Engineer for AWS and Real-Time Inference, you will own the fast path for ingesting live trading data and scoring it in near real time. This systems-heavy role focuses on streaming, low-latency inference, and the retraining cadence required to keep models current and ensure systems keep pace with live markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop streaming and storage pipelines for model training and low-latency inference.
- Manage the online inference path and its latency.
- Implement a real-time detector microservice connected to a run-time model, ensuring latency under live load.
- Address the challenge of real-time single-account scoring without a population for ranking.
- Manage the model retraining cadence, including drift-triggered retraining.
- Productionize new features and detectors on the fast path in partnership with data science.
Requirements
- Strong data/ML engineering experience with streaming systems (e.g., Kafka/Kinesis/MSK) and modern data storage formats.
- Experience building low-latency, high-throughput inference services.
- Proficiency in a systems language (e.g., Go) alongside Python.
- Production AWS experience.
- Familiarity with financial market data or trading protocols is a plus.
- Familiarity with chain-data infrastructure (node providers, subgraphs, event indexing) is a plus.
