About the Role

The Administrative Supervisor will lead, coach, and develop their team to ensure successful customer service operations. This role will also assist in client service functions, responding to user inquiries about laboratory test specifications and communicating patient test results and other data to healthcare professionals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer service team performance.
  • Aid in the development of customer service policies and procedures.
  • Train and mentor customer service staff.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries.
  • Identify customer service trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Perform duties related to problem discovery and resolution.
  • Work closely with supervisory staff in Central Accessioning and other departments within the Center for Clinical Laboratories.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding clinical test specifications.
  • Communicate patient test results and other data to healthcare professionals.
  • Process incoming and outgoing telephone calls and faxes through an Automated Call Center program.
  • Communicate with State and City health departments as required by law.
