About the Role

Richmond Community Services seeks an HR Generalist to gain comprehensive HR experience across all centers of excellence, acting as a true business partner. This role offers daily variety and the chance to make a significant impact on employees and the community served.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Provide employee relations coaching and problem-solving.
  • Conduct workplace investigations.
  • Oversee performance management and employee development.
  • Interpret and administer HR policies.
  • Support labor relations and collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • Ensure HR compliance and adherence to employment law.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and celebrations.
  • Perform HR reporting, analytics, and special projects.
  • Collaborate with managers to resolve complex people issues.

Requirements

  • Approximately 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and build strong relationships.
  • Capacity to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and supporting employee success.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and interpreting Collective Bargaining Agreements is a plus.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or a desire to obtain certification is a plus.
