About the Role

As a Security Technology Specialist Planner, you will develop technical solutions for demanding projects in electronic security technology. You will ensure compliant, economical, and future-proof system solutions from initial requirements through technical concept development to execution planning. You will work closely with sales, project management, and technical specialists to plan complex security solutions for renowned clients in industry, business, public administration, and critical infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical security concepts based on individual customer requirements.
  • Create engineering, detail, and execution plans.
  • Plan and design electronic security technology systems, including fire alarm systems (BMA), intrusion alarm systems (EMA), video surveillance systems (VÜA), access control systems, voice alarm systems (SAA), and network/fiber optic infrastructures.
  • Support sales with technical concepts, variant comparisons, and presales activities.
  • Coordinate technical requirements with customers, project managers, and specialist departments.
  • Create technical documentation, specifications, and planning documents.
  • Ensure high-quality standards and compliant planning.
  • Technically clarify interfaces with IT, electrical, building services, and installation trades.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a comparable field, OR a technical apprenticeship with relevant professional experience in planning electronic security technology.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in engineering or specialist planning of security technology projects.
  • In-depth knowledge in at least one core area, ideally fire alarm systems (BMA) or intrusion alarm systems (EMA).
  • Experience in technical project planning from concept to execution.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, guidelines, and VdS requirements.
  • Experience with technical documentation and planning processes.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Structured and independent work style.
  • High quality awareness.
  • Technical understanding and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional business trips.
  • Good German language skills and basic English knowledge.
