About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Capital Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in the delivery of a nationally significant infrastructure programme. Working within an integrated project environment, you will support the end-to-end procurement lifecycle across complex, high-value construction and engineering projects, ensuring best practice procurement principles are embedded throughout delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage procurement activities from market engagement through to contract award across a portfolio of major projects.
  • Work closely with project teams, commercial stakeholders and external partners to deliver robust procurement strategies, drive value, manage risk and ensure governance compliance.
  • Manage complex procurement exercises from pre-tender through to contract award.
  • Develop procurement strategies, tender documentation and evaluation frameworks.
  • Support supplier engagement and market development activities.
  • Prepare award recommendations and procurement approvals.
  • Embed procurement best practice within project teams.
  • Manage procurement risks, opportunities and performance milestones.
  • Support supplier framework acquisition, renewal and management.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance, commercial standards and project controls.

Requirements

  • Significant experience delivering complex procurement programmes within construction, infrastructure or engineering environments.
  • Comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, navigating complex commercial challenges and driving successful procurement outcomes across major projects.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
  • MCIPS, RICS, IACCM or similar professional accreditation (or extensive procurement lifecycle experience).
  • Experience leading multi-million-pound procurement activities on major construction projects.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Knowledge of NEC4 contracts and procurement of design, professional services and construction works.
  • Understanding of commercial, legal and technical aspects of infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience operating within complex, regulated project environments.
