About the Role

As a Per Diem Home Infusion Nurse at LUX Infusion, you are often the primary clinical presence in a patient’s care — delivering therapy, education, and reassurance. Your work ensures patients can continue treatment with dignity, safety, and peace of mind.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, monitor, and discontinue intravenous therapies in patient homes or infusion suite settings
  • Insert and manage IV access including peripheral lines, PICC lines, ports, and midlines
  • Monitor patients throughout infusion therapy, recognizing and responding to adverse reactions or changes in condition
  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples as ordered
  • Complete patient assessments, vital signs, and reviews of systems during each visit
  • Provide individualized education to patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, line care, and symptom monitoring
  • Coordinate visit schedules, staffing needs, and communication with internal teams and external partners
  • Accurately document all patient-related care, medications administered, and patient responses
  • Communicate clinical concerns or reportable events promptly to physicians and internal clinical leadership
  • Uphold all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Participate annually in required legal and ethical compliance training
  • Consistently act in compliance with LUX Infusion’s legal, ethical, and compliance policies
  • Adhere to all standards and procedures outlined in the LUX Infusion Compliance Manual
  • Refrain from any behavior that could be considered unethical or unlawful
  • Support the organization’s mission, vision, and values by demonstrating integrity, dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm
  • Place patients first, work collaboratively with a “stacked-hands” mindset, and maintain a consistent focus on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist directly - or coordinate appropriate assistance - to ensure access to LUX Infusion’s services for individuals with disabilities, including patients, visitors, employees, or others.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical judgment and confidence working independently in home-based environments
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients and caregivers
  • Comfort managing IV therapy outside acute care settings
  • Strong organization, flexibility, and attention to detail
  • A patient-centered mindset grounded in empathy and professionalism
  • Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
  • Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
  • IV certification with experience in central line care and management
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within service territory
  • CPR certification
  • Experience with clinical documentation and care coordination
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical systems
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes and healthcare facilities
  • RN licensure in additional states
  • Prior experience in home infusion, home care, critical care, emergency nursing, ambulatory infusion centers, or discharge planning
