About the Role

Bloomsbury Publishing is seeking an organized, creative, and enthusiastic Marketing Assistant to support the Director of Children’s Marketing and the Marketing Manager for Adult. This role involves working on a variety of fiction and non-fiction titles and requires a passion for books and strong multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Creates PowerPoints and prepares and distributes presentation materials for internal meetings and meetings with our sales team.
  • Tracks and executes large-scale marketing department mailings.
  • Supports marketing campaigns by creating forms, maintaining spreadsheets, and updating presentations.
  • Participates in team brainstorms and contributes creative ideas for social media content and marketing campaigns for individual titles.
  • Assists with general marketing department administrative tasks, such as updating and organizing internal databases, coding expenses, and taking notes at meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Detailed-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Well-versed in social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva a plus.
  • Internship experience in publishing preferred.
