About the Role

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto is seeking an innovative leader with strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve as Program Director, Nephrology. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for the overall conduct, organization, and accountability of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada’s Nephrology residency training program, ensuring residents achieve competencies and are prepared for examinations and future careers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall conduct, organization and accountability of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada’s Nephrology residency training program.
  • Ensure residents achieve the competencies of Nephrology.
  • Ensure residents are thoroughly prepared for their Royal College examinations and future careers as Nephrology Subspecialists.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto.
  • Successful completion of the Continuing Faculty Appointment Review (CFAR) is required.
  • Preference will be given to applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
  • Must hold an MD degree.
  • Must be a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Nephrology Specialist or be eligible for certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Must hold licensure in Ontario.
