About the Role

A warm and welcoming family of four seeks an experienced, proactive, and highly organised Housekeeper for a long-term role. This position offers the flexibility of being live-in or live-out and is an excellent opportunity for a professional who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully presented home and supporting busy family life.

Responsibilities

• Perform full housekeeping duties to an exceptionally high standard throughout the home.
• Conduct daily cleaning and upkeep of all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas.
• Manage laundry, ironing, and specialist care of delicate garments and fine fabrics.
• Handle wardrobe management, including seasonal rotation and packing for travel.
• Perform bed making and regular linen changes.
• Maintain an organised, immaculate, and well-presented household at all times.
• Oversee kitchen upkeep, including washing up, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and maintaining spotless worktops and appliances.
• Liaise with external cleaners, dry cleaners, and other household service providers.
• Prepare wholesome, family-style meals twice a week.
• Plan meals where appropriate.
• Ensure the kitchen remains well stocked for cooking days.
• Perform occasional grocery and household shopping.
• Provide school drop-offs and pick-ups for the family's two daughters (aged 5 and 7).
• Assist with homework and reading after school.
• Provide occasional weekend evening babysitting.
• Support the children's daily routines with warmth, patience, and attentiveness.
• Keep parents informed of anything relevant regarding the children's wellbeing.
• Run household errands, including collecting deliveries and dry cleaning.
• Work independently with excellent initiative.
• Anticipate the family's needs and ensure the household runs smoothly.
• Create a calm, welcoming, and organised home environment.
• Provide light pet care in the future.
• Maintain complete discretion and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper within a private household.
• High attention to detail and excellent housekeeping standards.
• Confidence with laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management.
• Ability to cook simple, healthy family meals.
• Warm, kind, and naturally child-friendly demeanor.
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional conduct.
• A full driving licence is preferred but not essential.
