About the Role
Bon Appétit Management Company operates cafés for corporations, universities, and museums, cooking from scratch using fresh, local ingredients. We are seeking a Senior Cook to prepare nutritious and flavorful food in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cooking activities of food service associates as assigned.
- Prepare various entrees and menu items following established recipes.
- Operate and clean equipment after each use, performing scheduled routine cleaning.
- Store, label, and date food items according to policy.
- Maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
- Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
- Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate daily production records and completing all required documentation, reports, and logs.
- Assist in the cross-training of employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous large-production cooking experience is required.
- Food safety compliance experience is required.
- Must possess excellent knife skills.
- Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
