About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Infrastructure Automation and DevSecOps group. This individual contributor role focuses on developing applications and services for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management, enabling Infrastructure-as-Code and supporting Wells Fargo's digital products.
Responsibilities
- Participate in complex, companywide technology initiatives.
- Develop standards and best practices for engineering large-scale technology solutions.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs.
- Analyze technology solutions for business objectives, enterprise environment, and technical challenges.
- Make decisions on engineering standards and best practices, influencing technology teams.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain a new cloud management platform.
- Establish standards and patterns for Golang software development.
- Create applications and services to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Integrate with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Collaborate with and influence other software engineers on development practices and code quality.
- Drive the completion of software engineering epics, stories, and tasks for cloud portfolio business needs.
- Create documentation for high-value systems and applications.
- Experience developing with advanced AI in an enterprise software development lifecycle.
- Experience in a Team Lead role, including code review and mentorship.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of Software Development experience with architecting, designing, and developing frontend and backend applications using modern software programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript).
- 4+ years of experience in developing stateful software utilizing traditional relational databases or non-relational databases.
- 6+ months of experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI application development.
- 4+ years of experience working in an agile environment.
Skills
- Golang software development
- Temporal.io development experience with transaction, function, workflow, and durability functionality
- Knowledge of one or more major Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their primary web service offerings
- Understanding of code-deploy frameworks such as Amazon CDK
- Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
- Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis, automated testing, and tuning for applications
- Advanced artificial intelligence (AI) development
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Agentic workflows in generative AI application development
