About the Role

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates maintenance staff efforts, including recommendations for hiring, discipline, and performance appraisals.
• Responsible for training, coaching, and communicating with the maintenance staff.
• Performs or assigns work to repair and maintain mechanical equipment, including heating and air conditioning, diagnosing problems, and performing necessary repairs.
• Performs or assigns carpentry duties, including installation and repair of doors, moldings, locks, and hardware, as well as drywall, plaster, and painting tasks.
• Performs or assigns electrical duties, including inspecting and testing circuits, and replacing faulty components.
• Performs or assigns plumbing duties, including unclogging fixtures, repairing faucets and pipes, and servicing fountains.
• Interfaces with contractors and vendors, creating specifications, securing bids, and negotiating for goods and services.

Requirements

• Computer and smart phone literacy required.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• 5 - 7 years of experience can offset minimum educational requirements.

Skills

• Multilingual skills are a plus.
