About the Role
The Vice President of Health100 Engineering and Digital Delivery Engineering is a highly-technical leader responsible for creating technical solutions, design, and estimation of initiatives across the Health100 Product & Engineering organization. This role provides managerial oversight to technology product architects and engineers, optimizing solutions to meet business demand and offering technical leadership for high-complexity/high-impact or novel engineering and delivery initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Leading high-complexity/high-impact development initiatives.
- Developing engineering solutions for Retail pharmacy T&D projects and initiatives.
- Creating and communicating best practices and prescriptions on ideal technology component usage.
- Providing technical leadership for solution and design of key projects, promoting simplicity and reuse.
- Validating the quality of deployed technology and intervening when technical standards fall short.
- Ensuring Operational Readiness of solutions by conducting technical reviews.
- Driving down technology cost by promoting reuse and componentization.
- Researching and implementing practices that contribute to a lean organization.
- Contributing to budgetary and planning activities.
- Shepherding technology estimates through the funding and approval process.
- Maintaining communication of the project portfolio throughout engineering teams.
- Creating and maintaining a training plan for Solution Engineering Adoption.
- Building an Engineering practice that prides itself on designing simple solutions and empowering teams.
- Maintaining awareness of best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 15+ years technology leadership experience in large corporate organizations with a focus on pharmacy/healthcare experience and team sizes exceeding 5.
- 5+ years of experience in building large volume digital healthcare (Pharmacy preferred) applications and solutions in a premier consumer-focused organization.
- Multiyear experience in technology product evaluation.
- Experience in building multitenant technology to support a large number of B2B partners.
- Demonstrates strong people management skills; with an ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a highly motivated team.
- Demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning, and process management skills.
- Expert in technology research & development methods and tools, with the ability to sponsor and lead multi-disciplined efforts.
- Expert in technology consulting and leading teams of technical resources.
- Working knowledge of developing metrics and key performance indicators to accentuate the effectiveness of technology solutions.

Salary/Compensations
- This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
