About the Role

As an experienced SAP GTS Manager, you will play a key role in digitizing international trade and customs processes. You will analyze complex foreign trade requirements, develop tailored solutions for compliance, customs clearance, and risk management, and guide SAP GTS implementations from conception to go-live. You will advise clients at eye level, helping them align their global trade processes to be efficient, legally compliant, and future-proof.

Responsibilities

Take on leadership responsibility in projects, managing SAP GTS projects independently through all phases from analysis and conception to workshops, implementation, go-live, and hypercare.
Advise clients on optimizing international trade processes, developing solutions in compliance management, export control, sanctions list screening, and export license management.
Plan and realize SAP GTS implementations, including customizing, and support clients in digitizing customs clearance, integrating with authorities, and optimizing import/export processes.
Take responsibility for the professional and methodological development of colleagues, supporting the expansion of SAP GTS expertise within teams and actively contributing to knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.
Support presales activities with technical expertise and actively contribute to building new customer relationships and expanding market share.

Requirements

Possess in-depth professional experience with SAP GTS and a thorough understanding of international trade, customs, and compliance processes.
Successfully managed multiple SAP GTS projects from analysis and conception through implementation to go-live.
Experience in SAP GTS customizing and in one or more areas of Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Preference Management is ideal.
Communicate confidently in German (at least C1) and English, with a professional demeanor in client workshops and presentations.
Work in a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented manner, contributing expertise to interdisciplinary teams.
Possess a relevant academic background from a completed degree or apprenticeship in (business) informatics, logistics, foreign trade, business administration, or a comparable field.
