About the Role
Rome Health is seeking a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our hospital-based behavioral health team, providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health services across the continuum of care.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Conduct psychotherapy, intake screenings, and comprehensive clinical assessments
- Complete safety planning and provide treatment recommendations
- Participate in treatment planning and ongoing patient support
- Utilize evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions
- Provide case management, referrals, and linkage to community resources
- Assess risk, including suicidal and homicidal ideation, and develop appropriate safety plans
- Support patients in identifying strengths, needs, and treatment goals
- Collaborate with families and care teams as clinically indicated
Requirements
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches
- Ability to complete risk assessments and develop effective safety plans
- Familiarity with DSM-5 criteria and substance use disorder (SUD) diagnosis support
- Understanding of professional ethics and standards of care
- Knowledge of OASAS 822 regulations
- Strong case management skills, including knowledge of community resources and referral processes
- Ability to assess family dynamics and incorporate them into treatment planning
