About the Role
This is a launchpad role for an early-career accounting graduate who enjoys organization, numbers, and understanding operational processes. As a Project Coordinator, you will ensure consulting engagements remain on track and within budget by managing schedules, monitoring utilization, and supporting the billing and finance functions of delivery. You will operate at the intersection of delivery and finance, collaborate with senior consultants, and establish a strong foundation for a consulting career. You are expected to become billable to client work within approximately two months and achieve full utilization during your first year.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain project schedules, track milestones and deliverables, and proactively identify risks.
- Monitor consultant time, resource allocation, and utilization across engagements.
- Prepare and review time-and-expense entries, assist with invoicing, and ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Administer Statements of Work (SOWs) and change orders, and maintain project documentation and status reports.
- Coordinate schedules, status updates, and logistics with delivery teams, consultants, and clients.
- Collaborate with the PMO and finance teams to enhance realization, minimize revenue leakage, and improve collections (DSO).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field (recent graduate or early-career).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with numbers and spreadsheets (Excel).
- Genuine interest in the operations and billing of a services business.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work US business hours.
- Based in Austin, TX or Southern California.
- Proactive and ownership-oriented mindset.
