About the Role

Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Rochester, NY area. You will be trained on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks, and 3rd party services (Eco-ATM, Pokemon). The territory consists of 70+ kiosks with approximately 40 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities

  • Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed.
  • Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when it is out of order.
  • Perform new kiosk installations or swap newer kiosks in the local area.
  • Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
  • Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
  • Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English to include technical jargon.
  • Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license. Major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates.
  • Must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance.
  • Must have a reliable cell phone.
  • Ability to work weekends when required.
  • Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.

Skills

  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to always represent Hillman professionally

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred)
  • Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred)
  • Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations and customer service (preferred)
