About the Role

The Guide Editor will produce video guides for Rundown AI University, a library of practical tutorials about AI tools and workflows. You will manage guide edits from raw recording to final delivery, encompassing motion graphics, screen callouts, audio cleanup, pacing, and visual polish.

Responsibilities

• Edit video guides for clarity, conciseness, and ease of following.
• Select the strongest takes and remove unnecessary content while retaining important instructions.
• Create openings, text animations, screen callouts, transitions, and supporting visuals using Adobe After Effects.
• Ensure quality through appropriate color correction, audio cleanup, and final quality control checks.
• Follow guide briefs and brand references, and flag unclear instructions or missing assets.
• Deliver review cuts on time, incorporate feedback, and prepare final masters.
• Return organized project files with clearly named sequences, assets, and versions.
• Communicate progress, questions, capacity, and delivery timing proactively via Slack.
• Flag potential delays before deadlines with a recovery plan.

Requirements

• A strong portfolio of educational, product-demo, creator, SaaS, or YouTube tutorial work.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Strong working proficiency in Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and compositing.
• Comfortable with Adobe Dynamic Link, MOGRTs, and Media Encoder.
• Experience with Frame.io for version delivery and time-coded feedback.
• Experience with Slack for asynchronous collaboration.
• Experience with Descript for transcript-based review.
• Experience combining presenter footage, screen recordings, product UI, and motion graphics.
• Strong judgment regarding pacing, instructional clarity, and visual hierarchy.
• Editorial instincts that preserve factual meaning and instructional steps.
• Strong quality control for audio, color, spelling, visual continuity, privacy, and final playback.
• A workstation and internet connection capable of handling 4K source media and dependable renders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with close attention to detail.
• Comfortable owning work.
• An interest in AI, tech, and digital media.
