About the Role

The Lead Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality meals according to company standards, menu specifications, and production schedules. This role may involve directing and instructing other kitchen staff, adhering to standard operating procedures, and maintaining health and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare high quality meals in accordance with company standards, menu specifications and production schedules.
  • Direct the work of other kitchen staff, delegating tasks and instructing them in the preparation/production of all meal periods.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and kitchen systems including preparation logs, inventories, and product usage.
  • Maintain and adhere to the health and food safety program at all times per state and federal regulation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ grill experience.
  • Experience leading and directing the work of others is helpful.
  • Experience with receiving orders and inventory control is helpful.
  • High school diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Culinary Arts education preferred.
  • Serve-Safe Certification and Allergy Awareness Training preferred.
