About the Role
Eucalyptus / Hims & Hers Canada is seeking a Creative Strategist to translate customer insights into creative assets that drive measurable growth. This role sits at the intersection of consumer psychology, creative development, and performance marketing, focusing on owning the creative strategy and experimentation roadmap for the Canadian market. You will identify resonant messages and formats, develop compelling briefs and scripts, and leverage performance data to guide creative decisions. This is a hands-on position requiring comfort with concept development, script refinement, and performance analysis, involving close collaboration with designers, editors, media buyers, and cross-functional partners to build an evolving creative engine. The role reports to the Head of Growth, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Own the creative strategy and testing roadmap across Meta, YouTube, and other growth channels, with opportunities to extend successful ideas into television, out-of-home, and emerging formats.
- Turn customer research, cultural observations, competitive intelligence, and performance data into clear creative hypotheses and campaign concepts.
- Write and refine creative briefs, hooks, scripts, messaging frameworks, and visual direction tailored to the customer, platform, and stage of awareness.
- Lead weekly creative performance reviews, connecting metrics such as thumb-stop rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, customer acquisition cost, and creative fatigue to clear recommendations for the next round of testing.
- Guide concepts from brief through launch and iteration, providing clear, actionable feedback to designers, editors, creators, agencies, and media buyers.
- Partner with Brand, Legal, Clinical, and Regulatory teams to develop compelling creative that earns customer trust and meets the standards of a regulated healthcare environment.
- Build and maintain creative playbooks, testing frameworks, and a structured repository of learnings so that insights compound over time.
- Use AI thoughtfully to accelerate research synthesis, concept exploration, script development, creative variation, and analysis without compromising originality or judgment.
- Monitor platform behaviour, advertising formats, cultural conversations, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for the Canadian market.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in creative strategy, performance marketing, advertising, content strategy, copywriting, or a related discipline.
- A portfolio or body of work demonstrating your contribution to performance creative, including concepts, briefs, scripts, campaigns, or testing programs.
- A strong understanding of consumer behaviour, advertising psychology, and the factors that make creative capture attention and drive action.
- Experience developing creative for paid social and video channels, particularly Meta and YouTube.
- The analytical ability to interpret advertising performance and connect results to specific creative variables.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to turn an insight into a compelling concept and give precise, constructive feedback.
- Experience collaborating with designers, editors, media buyers, creators, agencies, or production partners.
- A structured approach to experimentation: you can articulate a hypothesis, isolate meaningful variables, evaluate the result, and decide what to test next.
- Strong creative judgment without attachment to any one idea. You care deeply about the quality of the work while allowing evidence to challenge your assumptions.
- The ability to operate autonomously, make progress through ambiguity, and balance thoughtful analysis with a bias toward action.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and its potential to improve the way creative work is researched, developed, and evaluated.
