About the Role
As the senior creative lead within the in-house Creative Studio, you will be responsible for creative leadership and brand CI ownership. This hands-on role involves making senior creative decisions for high-impact marketing and communication work, producing high-quality work, and leading a creative team to set output standards.
Responsibilities
- Own the development, governance and evolution of mobile.de's brand CI, acting as the senior creative authority on quality, consistency and brand application across all output and touchpoints
- Deliver hands-on creative work across marketing and communication projects, depending on your craft background and Studio needs
- Translate briefs and strategic direction into effective creative approaches and executions across B2C and B2B initiatives, working in close daily partnership with the Senior Creative Strategist and key stakeholders across marketing, product and sales
- Act as team lead for creators within the Studio, guiding, supporting and developing roles such as Visual Designer and Video Producer, as well as overseeing standards of creative production by external partners
- Provide day-to-day creative direction, feedback and quality control, applying sound judgement on brand consistency versus platform-native best practices, particularly for social and paid performance channels
- Work in close alignment with the Head of UX to ensure brand expression is coherent across product, in-app and on-page contexts
- Lead the identification and implementation of AI-assisted production workflows across design and video, including tooling, MCPs, agents and integrations; evaluate AI-generated output critically, balancing efficiency against brand quality and risk
- Identify bottlenecks, capability gaps and productivity opportunities in creative production, contribute to creative variant testing, and use results to continuously improve Studio standards, workflow and best practices, while helping build a culture of strong craft, creative ambition and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Experience in a senior creative role such as Design Lead, Art Director, Creative Lead or Associate Creative Director, ideally in an in-house, studio or agency environment, and are comfortable acting as the senior creative manager for a small but growing team
- A strong hands-on creative with a portfolio that demonstrates high-quality execution and clear creative judgement across multiple channels and formats, whether your background is in design, integrated design, motion, video or a related discipline
- Experience owning or significantly contributing to a brand identity system or CI framework, and are comfortable making and defending decisions on brand application
- Ability to turn briefs and strategic direction into clear, compelling creative work that is both effective and well-crafted
- Seniority and judgement to make higher-level calls on creative quality, consistency and brand application, and confidence giving creative direction and feedback that raises the standard of work through collaboration rather than hierarchy alone
- Confidence working across complex, cross-functional environments and can influence and align stakeholders at different levels
- Experience leading or mentoring creatives and care deeply about developing others while building a culture of craft, ambition and continuous improvement
- A strong collaborative partner to strategists and planners, and comfortable working from a commercially grounded brief
- Understanding of performance creative and knowing when brand compliance should be applied strictly and when platform-native creative will outperform it, and can make that call with confidence
- Contribution to creative variant testing and ability to interpret results in terms of creative strategy and future production decisions
- AI-native: actively built or co-built AI-assisted workflows in creative or video production environments, including generative AI platforms, MCPs, workflow agents or integrations, and approach new tooling with a build-and-test mindset rather than passive adoption
