About the Role
The successful candidate will support the Department Supervisor overseeing the LVDT Department to produce products which conform to part specifications, quality specifications, procedures and standards. This role offers the opportunity for career progression towards a Production Supervisor position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in enforcing company rules and regulations.
- Assist in machine and work center setup.
- Assist in creating work schedules and guiding execution to meet customer needs.
- Assist in daily work assignments and labor allocation to meet customer requirements.
- Inspect tooling for damage or wear and notify appropriate personnel.
- Inspect production parts and record data per QS documentation.
- Monitor job operation standards performance.
- Assist in maintaining visual displays of work group activity and goals.
- Support, assist, and lead Lean initiatives.
- Create and submit Pick Lists.
- Issue materials to jobs.
- Perform material moves.
- Review jobs for labor and material accuracy.
- Review time and attendance daily.
- Perform direct labor as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma required.
- 4 years minimum of production experience with technical working knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Syteline.
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mechanics and auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to recognize and diagnose issues for quick resolution.
- Ability to maintain quality standards and produce product per production schedules and deadlines.
- Good organizational skills.
- Understanding of general Lean manufacturing practices.
- Understanding of SPC and how to drive quality improvements from data.
- Familiarity with finance/budgeting.
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements.
