About the Role

Lead the marketing function through the development of marketing strategies for M/I’s products and services that align with corporate objectives on a divisional basis. Coordinate market research to determine effective media and direct marketing programs that target desired demographic groups and increase unit absorption. Partner with the VP of Sales and Marketing to achieve sales objectives through optimal marketing programs that support company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and corresponding plans and programs to support sales, revenue, and strategic objectives.
  • Recommend marketing strategies for company housing communities, including presentations, model homes, and amenity features.
  • Build effective partnerships with senior managers to determine product positioning, pricing matrix, and promotional strategies.
  • Research, analyze, and monitor financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize competitive activity.
  • Partner with the Corporate Marketing Department to formulate advertisement and promotional activities across various media channels.
  • Organize, manage, and execute the creation of the M/I Home Store in each community, overseeing technology installation and store contents.
  • Provide onboarding and ongoing marketing training for Sales Associates and New Home Consultants.
  • Conduct regular field visits to M/I Communities to evaluate signage and presentation, and to assess competitor marketing and community presentation.
  • Review and suggest product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to achieve long-term market share.
  • Monitor competitive products and marketing activities in partnership with the VP, Sales & Marketing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Conduct marketing surveys on product concepts and provide feedback for future product development.
  • Guide the preparation of marketing activity reports and present them to executive management.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent corporate image and brand across all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Assist with special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent in specialized training from a four-year college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in home building is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to travel is required.
