About the Role

This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service to donors with the goal of increasing donor frequency and retention. It involves rebooking donation appointments, educating donors on the donation process, and enrolling them in frequent donor programs. The role also supports Donor Services by managing donor flow, monitoring wait times, and resolving customer service issues. Additional responsibilities include administering surveys, collecting data, presenting promotional items, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations. A proactive approach to donor engagement and effective communication are essential to enhance the overall donation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer service at mobile units and/or donor centers.
  • Greet donors warmly and educate first-time donors on the donation process.
  • Guide donors through the donation screening process.
  • Input and update donor demographics in the BECS system.
  • Educate donors on the best donation type for them based on inventory needs and capacity.
  • Explain the benefits of automated donations (plasma, platelets, auto-red cells).
  • Handle donor check-ins, answer phones, and assist with front desk tasks.
  • Monitor the flow of incoming donors, wait times, and donor complaints.
  • Resolve customer service issues.
  • Help donors navigate the donor portal and reschedule appointments.
  • Assist with cleaning equipment and donor areas.
  • Monitor inventory of promotional items and present them to donors.
  • Participate in on-site blood drives and college campus recruitment.
  • Prepare presentations to attract more donations.
  • Prepare shift summary reports.
  • Provide telemarketing support for upcoming drives.
  • Assist with other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Must have a car.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
