About the Role

Eco-Adapt is an innovative startup specializing in industrial IoT and energy efficiency, integrated into the Schaeffler group since 2023. We develop and market two comprehensive solutions, combining hardware and software: Power-Adapt for energy consumption monitoring and Predict-Adapt for predictive maintenance of rotating machinery. We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze electrical signatures of industrial machines, designing, testing, and improving methods for analyzing electrical signals and time series applied to three-phase rotating machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data acquisitions and interpret results from various sources: client projects, pilot projects, test bench simulations.
  • Identify probable failure cases on machines and conduct detailed analysis by formulating and testing hypotheses.
  • Design and improve algorithms for detecting, identifying, and grading machine faults using signal processing, time series analysis, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
  • Develop and integrate algorithms into robust, tested libraries ready for deployment on our IoT devices and cloud backend.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Group A engineering school with specialization or significant experience in Data Science, Statistics, Time Series Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning.
  • PhD holder with a strong focus on modeling/data analysis, including in related fields, provided the background involved analyzing data from physical or complex systems, developing models, utilizing quantitative or computational methods, and a rigorous scientific approach.
  • Proficiency in programming and algorithm development.
  • Expertise in data analysis, statistics, and machine learning.
  • Scientific rigor and analytical skills.
  • Mastery of English.
