About the Role
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Senior, Senior Accountant, or Practice Accountant to advance their career within a progressive and commercially focused firm. You will work closely with partners, manage your own client portfolio, and gain exposure to a wide range of accounts, tax, audit, and advisory projects, with a clear path towards management and leadership. This is not a traditional accounts preparation role.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies.
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns.
- Managing a portfolio of business clients.
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
- Cash flow forecasting, budgeting and business planning.
- Assisting with audit assignments and assurance work.
- Supporting due diligence, business valuations and corporate finance projects.
- Conducting technical accounting and tax research.
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Mentoring and supporting junior accountants.
- Working alongside partners on strategic growth initiatives and practice development.
Requirements
- ACA qualified or ACCA qualified.
- Ideally 5+ years' post qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
- Experience managing a client portfolio.
- Good knowledge of corporation tax compliance.
- Exposure to audit, management accounts or advisory work would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Commercially minded and client focused.
- Ambitious and seeking long term career progression within practice.
