About the Role

Our recruitment team plays a vital part in attracting and securing the best legal professionals for our team, whether it’s qualified lawyers, paralegals or legal operations professionals. You’ll have a pivotal role representing LOD with those groups as their first point of contact but also in maintaining our relationships with them for the long term.

Responsibilities

  • Screening: Taking a lead in speaking with lawyers who want to know more or want to apply to join LOD. Helping to select the best people for our short term and long term needs while responsibly managing the expectations of lawyers who we may not be able to help immediately.
  • Application processing: Working with the team to ensure applications are processed quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards when dealing with potential joiners.
  • Managing talent pools: Proactively managing existing talent pools and working with the recruitment and engagement management teams to ensure we have a strong understanding of the experience, availability, and fit of those lawyers for live assignments. You’ll play a key role in giving teams across the business visibility of who we have available and keeping the lawyers updated on opportunities they’re being considered for. You’ll also take the lead on growing pools of lawyers in areas that are growing.
  • Recruitment advertising: Writing detailed, creative and informative advertising to sell LOD as a concept as well as to attract specific lawyers for current and future needs. Proactively sourcing LODs on Linkedin using a fully provisioned recruiter licence.
  • Strategic projects: Leading or supporting on strategic recruitment projects such as marketing and advertising campaigns, reengagement initiatives and developing new talent pipelines. Also continually reviewing and refining the LOD recruitment process and systems that support it.

Requirements

  • The ability to make an impact through taking ownership, good organisational skills and using initiative with a focus on the end result.
  • Authentic and clear communication skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • An ability to make wise decisions, seeing the big picture and root causes without losing your eye for detail.
  • A curious personality and open mind to thrive, learn and engage in an entrepreneurial team and find solutions to difficult problems.
  • A genuine interest in the changing legal market and in ensuring that our LOD lawyers and clients receive the best possible experience throughout their dealings with us.
  • A wish to develop long-term relationships with lawyers and clients, taking the time to do so.
