About the Role

This role assists the Head of Finance Governance, Risk & Controls in Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) activities, ensuring robust RCSA implementation and reporting across Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate RCSA completion and refresh for Finance teams, including workshops, documentation, and action agreements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across Finance and with key stakeholders to ensure RCSA outputs reflect the true risk profile.
  • Compile, analyze, and report RCSA results and risk insights to management and governance forums.
  • Support Finance leadership in using RCSA outputs for decision-making, control enhancement, and remediation tracking.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on RCSA methodologies, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee Risk Event Reporting within GRC/MetricStream, monitoring remediation plans and linking learnings to RCSA.
  • Support GWL EUC Standard compliance across Finance functions, overseeing EUC asset use and assessments.
  • Develop and enhance controls and processes, implementing best practices and aligning procedures with RCSA outcomes.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise and hands-on experience in RCSA (design, facilitation, documentation, reporting) is essential.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of business needs.
  • Willing and capable of making independent decisions and exercising sound judgment.
  • Strong communication skills, with clear written and verbal articulation tailored for all management levels.
  • Ability to adapt messages to the audience for easy understanding.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across the Finance function with integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal/networking skills with the ability to maintain diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to flex style and delivery based on individual and/or audience.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, pragmatic, and able to perform tasks independently.
  • Interested and inquisitive individual committed to professional and personal development.
