About the Role
This position is dedicated to the wholesale broker channel and presents a great opportunity to join our E&S Financial Lines team. In this role, you will underwrite and perform financial analysis across PLAC risks, contributing to product development, marketing, fulfillment, and portfolio management.
Responsibilities
- Generate, underwrite, and analyze financial lines new and renewal policies.
- Engage in market-facing activities and production with wholesale brokers.
- Administer and monitor underwriting rules, guidelines, insurance laws, regulations, and rating manual rules.
- Work within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
- Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop a pipeline of business.
- Collaborate and cross-sell with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Accounting, Banking, Risk Management (for Executive Underwriter)
- 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area (for Executive Underwriter)
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Accounting, Banking, Risk Management (for Executive Underwriter)
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area (for Executive Underwriter)
- 7 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area, Finance, Accounting, Banking (for AVP, Underwriting Director)
- 14 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area (for AVP, Underwriting Director)
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area, Accounting, Banking, Risk Management (for AVP, Underwriting Director)
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 12 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area (for AVP, Underwriting Director)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
- Experience working in a team environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office (for AVP, Underwriting Director)

- Executive Underwriter: $100,000.00 - $165,000.00
- AVP, Underwriting Director: $130,000.00 - $215,000.00
