About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Accounting to lead our accounting department in Berlin-Tempelhof. You will be responsible for the digitalization of financial accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and balance sheet preparation. This role involves financial management in coordination with the management, daily operations organization, and collaboration with external entities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Accounting/Controlling department
• Implement digitalization tasks, financial accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, and balance sheet preparation
• Financial management in coordination with the management
• Organize daily operations
• Coordinate and collaborate with external parties (audits, authorities, tax advisors, auditors)
• Prepare VAT pre-registration
• Manage closing processes
• Handle statistical reporting to third parties

Requirements

• Completed business administration studies or certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or industrial accounting or professional qualification from tax consulting or auditing
• Several years of professional experience in accounting (HGB)
• Analytical thinking
• Strong communication skills in German and English or Italian
• In-depth knowledge of HGB, ideally basic knowledge of OIC and C.C.
