About the Role
This role involves leading a sales team to achieve regional sales objectives, driving new business development, and executing sales strategies within the Southern California region. The position requires maintaining strong customer relationships, overseeing estimates and bids, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve regional sales volume, pricing, and margin objectives.
- Drive new business development through strategic account acquisition, market expansion, and identification of new products and applications.
- Execute and continuously refine the Southern California regional sales strategy to align with company objectives and market conditions.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and partners through regular client and jobsite visits.
- Oversee preparation of accurate job estimates and competitive bids for customer projects.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Production, Logistics, and Credit to align inventory, delivery execution, and customer service expectations.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer demand, translating insights into actionable sales strategies.
- Partner with Production to support new product development and material offerings driven by market needs.
- Support and enforce disciplined sales processes, including order review, backlog management, and pipeline forecasting.
- Mentor and develop sales team members through performance management, training, and succession planning.
- Contribute to annual budget planning and provide ongoing analysis of performance versus plan to support quarterly and annual results.
- Support collections efforts and collaborate with the credit team to manage risk and improve cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical business practices.
- Participate in industry organizations as needed.
- Collaborate with a team of sales managers from different regions to discuss strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.
- Experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships and generating new business opportunities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory.
- Frequent travel to customer locations, job sites, plants and industry events.
- Ability to work in both an office environment and at industrial/construction sites.
- Ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 25-50 lbs as needed.

Salary/Compensations
- $111,300 to $144,690 USD
